An Indian Civilizational Perspective

Brain Drain or Brain in a Drain??

Anurag – one of the readers – related the the incident where one of his college guys asked a panelist a very important question:

“What is better Brain Drain or the Brain in the Drain”

I think this is a question that we should all ask of the situation in India – where the politicians who were hitherto nowhere when the Brains were busy charting the course for India’s recovery.. have suddenly jumped in to carve out their fiefdoms and create a Drain out of upcoming garden!! I am not sure what right they have of doing that.. but that is EXACTLY what is going on!! I think there will come a time soon .. when the educated and the bright will ask: “Why give the power to these idiots!!” And as Paritrana – the new Political party of the IITs – is showing the way.. we might see more of these “start-ups” in the political field of India!!

At least I hope they do!

This has been tried by many in various times. But the intellect fails every time in front of the masses. How many members of these parties will play Holi with the people in the Streets with’Gobar’, just to win votes?

It is like the consumer market.Coke is able to clog sales day after day even though it is not so healthy and maybe even costlier to the old fashioned lemonade which may have some benefits. Advertising, marketing and funding which is in abundance with the Republicans and Congressmen of today.

Democracy is a farce. It is more like a corporate trying to win the contract to run the nation for the next five years and during the process make enough so that if it doesnot get a second chance it should be able to survive.

The thing is, it is same all over the world. I thought the politicians of australia or the masses of Australia were different. It is the smae here as well. Public money used to fund so called Public benefit projects like the Cross City tunnel. But in reality making some corporate rich,
