Shiney Ahuja One Liners

We know that Shiney Ahuja, the bollywood actor has been accused of raping his maid (kaam-wali Bai) and according to the reports he has also admitted to it. Of course, there are many, including his wife, who say he couldn’t have done that. But people have come up with rather interesting one-liners. Here is a collection of that:

What does Shiney like to ride the most?
Bai-cycle

what is the fav bedroom line of shiney?
GOOD BAI!

Who is Shiney’s fav football player
Bai Chung Bhutia

What kind of food does Shiney like
Home Maid

what is Shiney’s sexual orientation?
He is Bai-Sexual

why did Shiney hang out with Snoop Dog??
To make rape music

whats shiney ahuja’s favorite song?
Maid in India

This post was in poor taste. Rape is a serious crime. Although the one-liners were not composed by you, by reproducing them you are implying that it was consentual sex whereas physical evidence suggests sexual assault. Please remove this post.

Prashant and Prem: You both have your opinions and I respect them. But the one-liners are not a statement on the victim or the act.. but rather make fun of Shiney. So, in that sense, I didn’t find them to be so bad.

    Prem:

    newly-acquired belief in Karma

I doubt you have been paying attention on this blog.. I have been talking of karma for a long time. I am not sure what your definition of Karma is but lets not bring in concepts at places where they don’t belong… specially when we treat them in a frivolous manner. Karma theory is the least understood and probably the most bastardized concept in Hindu tradition.. not only by others but by Hindus themselves. Except for maybe 2-3 people, I haven’t seen many who even have understood it properly in its proper context. Everyone tends to bring in Morality into the understanding.. and as soon as you do that, you have lost the centrality of Lord Krishna’s message. I have a post on Vyadh-gita here on this blog.. read that… maybe that will help.

The fact that both Prashant and I found it offensive to the victim shows that the post failed in creating the effect you intended. The perpetrator himself may approve of the jokes because they seem to be on the victim he ‘enjoyed’. We’ve all seen bullies who like to crack such jokes on their victims.

As for Karma, my statement implied no more than saying that a likewise reward will result from your action: as you sow so shall you reap. You need not have drawn a moral rebuke from *that* statement.

  8. Desh says

Ok, let me get it right here. YOU and Prashant are offended by a joke.. which I thought is benign and so is THAT the Karma that I will reap?

See, this is precisely the nonsense on Karma that I argue against. If joking.. even those that some may consider offensive is bad karma then I am sure killing would be worse. But then it would be complete mockery of Krishna’s message if such moralistic nonsense was peddled as Law of Karma!!!

Also, its not what I “say” that creates the karma for me… but “how” and “why” I say that. What I said was for a very benign reason out of amazement at the creativity of the person who created those one-liners… but that it was “offensive” was YOUR interpretation. Its a moralistic stance you have taken from your own yard-stick. That has nothing to do with me.

Finally, Karmas creation or not is not subject to someone else’s “assessment” of an act. AND, most critically, doing an act – any act – including killing.. does NOT necessarily end up creating Karma IF the way it was done was of detachment and out of freedom. An enlightened person is NOT one who does not act… or one on whom the results of past acts/karmas don’t accrue… but one who acts, and while doing so DOES NOT create new “Karma” BECAUSE his actions have NO relation to the result of the past Karmas… his actions are out of total FREEDOM… not reactions to the past.

That is why I have said.. PLEASE READ Vyadh-Gita’s post here (http://drishtikone.com/?q=blog… to understand what Karma means. Of course, it would help if you could read Gita ONCE WITHOUT any blinkers… because no one has explained it better in terms of the whole construction and language of the book.. as to what Karma really means. But you would have to put yourself in Arjun’s shoes to really get it.
