Sikhs being humiliated at International Airports

Rajya Sabha got up against the treatment of Sikhs at the International airports – specifically the European ones.

Rajya Sabha on Wednesday condemned the repeated humiliation of Sikhs who were being forced to remove their turbans in the name of security at international airports, especially in Italy.

The question was brought in by Naresh Gujral (Shiromani Akali Dal MP). It was in context of an incident where the Jet Airways commander Ravijodh Singh was harrassed at the Milan airport.

That is all fine. But what the heck is the Government or politicians really doing about this?? Can Sonia Gandhi take this up in her native country? Can we have a campaign where we can clearly say that Sikhs are NOT Muslim Jehadis, who may also have beards and turbans?
