Anjem Choudhary is an Islamist who wants the West and countries like India to be under Islamic rule and be ruled by Shariah. So, the former British solicitor, has pioneered the organization Islam4UK. He is outspoken in his ideology of supremacy of Islam and doesn’t shy away from speaking out as to why Islam should be the only force around the world.
In his quest, Anjem Choudhary started a new endeavor – Shariah4Hind – via his website Shariah4Hind.com. The site has been brought down recently and although the march for Shariah in India was scheduled for March 3.
Incensed by the inflammatory content of the entire operation by Anjem Choudhary, a little known but rather nationalistic organization called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena took action. On 22nd Feb 2012, Advocate Mr. Vikas Padora filed a petition for Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, President of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena in Delhi High Court. The aim was to ban the website Shariah4Hind.com and the entire March 3rd event.
Late night on Feb 28th, in response to the PIL by Tajinder Pal Singh, an FIR was registered by the Delhi Police under sections 124A (sedition), 153A (Communal crime),295A(Communal crime) IPC & 66A IT Act. The FIR was against Anjem Choudary, Omar Mohhamad Bakri, Abu Baraa and the entire shariah4hind team! Omar Bakri is Anjem’s mentor and partner – an Al Qaeda member and someone who has mentored many extremists including those who bombed the London trains.
Because of the action of Delhi Police, the March 3rd rally by the Islamists was cancelled and Anjem Choudhary could not make it to India.
When contacted in last week of February, 2012 by Indian Express over the phone, this is what he said to the newspaper:
“I do not believe in Indian law, so there is no question of seeking any permission from the authorities there. We have organised a video conferencing on March 2 with Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad who is based in Lebanon. My visa application is under process with the Indian High Commission here and I expect to get it… We hope to arrive a day ahead of our press conference. But in case we are not given the visa, we will broadcast our address to the demonstration,’’ he said.
Strangely, while the Delhi police and the citizens were fighting hard to stop this guy from entering India, Subramanian Swamy informed on Twitter that, P. Chidambaram had OK’ed the Visa Application for Anjem Choudhary to enter India because of pressure from Sonia Gandhi, who sister Anushka had been paid £ 100 000 by an Arab Government – which wanted the Shariah event to go through.
Anjem Choudhary was very confident in his call to change the demography and the legal structure of India:
“Arabs have failed in terms of Deen (religion) and the call for Sharia is strong from non-Arab countries like Indonesia and India… many of us have been involved with al-Muhajiroun, al-Ghurabaa and Islam4UK,’’ he said.
As Navaid Hamid (Secretary, South Asian Council for Minorities (SACM)) says, the aims of Anjem Choudhary and his team was pretty sinister.
The contents posted on the website are highly inflammatory and needs urgent attention. The purpose of the proposed rally as mentioned on the website is to gherao Indian Parliament; to instigate the Indian Muslims to rise for implementation of Shariah Laws; to discard Indian constitution; to rally to rise and unite the Indian subcontinent under Islamic governance and complete rejection of the Indian constitution.
The hate mongers claims that in the proposed rally they would also target Indian politicians and issue a fatwa against political parties and Indian politicians including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi, BJP leaders Mr. L K Advani and Mr. Narendra Modi besides issuing a fatwa against the Indian constitution.
Aiman Reyaz gives more information about the objectives of Anjem Choudhary as well:
Anjem Choudhary and his colleague Omar Bakri want pre-British era to be established which, according to them is “glorious golden period”. They write in one of the articles, “The recent history of the Indian sub-continent is fraught with hardship, poverty, racism and oppression. We are not calling for people to go back to 1971 or 1947 or even 1857 but rather to before the British occupied India and to the example of the Messenger Muhammad (saw) on how to govern the affairs of Muslims and non-Muslims.”
And how does Shariah4Hind envisages the India under Islamic rule to be like? Aiman continues:
“Some of the many problems that a united Indian sub-continent will resolve are the troubles in Kashmir, the problem of Babri mosque, the discrimination in Gujarat, the inner cities slums as in Mumbai, exploitation and widespread bribery, the presence of foreign forces (as in Afghanistan), public idolatry, the inhuman caste system, drugs, alcohol, promiscuity and pornography, the use of men and women’s gender for monetary gain, usury, gambling, the boom and bust of the capitalist economic model etc.. Moreover all non-Muslims will be given the Zimmi status where their life and wealth will be protected in return for obeying the divine law of the land who will never be asked to be part of the Muslim armies whose job it will be to expand the frontiers of the Islamic State (into China, Indonesia, Malaysia etc…) and protect it from its enemies.
Anjem Checkmated or just waits for his chance?
For now, the disaster may have been averted, but it may not happen for very long. If indeed Subramanian Swamy is right – and he has been generally right about political issues recently in the way he got Raja and went after Chidambaram, then Anjem Choudhary may have already obtained a Multi-entry visa to India.
Just as it was very easy for Syed Geelani, the person who harbors and facilitates the militants to cross over to Pakistan for terrorist training and then bomb Indian cities – to come to Delhi in a high profile conference with Arundhati Roy and call for “Human Rights” with no one saying anything, we might end up seeing Choudhary having a tete-e-tete with Arundhati Roy before too long!
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has information that Geelani recommended one of the arrested men, Ahtesham Malik, for a visa to visit Pakistan. Ahtesham went to Pakistan last December on a valid passport by the Samjhauta Express for a 45-day training in making explosives.
So, if anyone in India feels the storm has passed off should think again. The mess has just started. Just keep looking in the “Events” column in your local newspaper on the conference at probably, the India Habitat Center with the presence of Arundhati Roy, Anjem Choudhary and Syed Geelani. Yes, of course, they will be discussing how to promote “Human Rights” under Islamic Shariah in India.
