Jinnah had made a deal with British on Pakistan for it to serve for future strategies of Western Powers

It is a very interesting interview with Tarek Fatah, an intellectual from Pakistan who now lives in Canada.  He discusses in detail why Jinnah had actually cut a deal with the British to help them craft their future strategy against the Soviets by creating Pakistan.

Pakistan was an unnatural creation and it was made with the full backing of the British.

Fatah discusses why the concept of Pakistan died the day it was created.  And it further disintegrated as a concept with the breaking up of the Bangladesh later.  This he says by giving the example of Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and how he was marginalized by the Pakistani leadership because he tried to stop the violence after Direct Action Day – a call given by Jinnah.

He lists the negative actions that Jinnah took, which started the whole decline of Pakistan in the first place.  Although the wont of Pakistanis to blame the “Generals” and excuse Jinnah for the slide; the truth is something totally different.

During his discussion Tarek Fatah suggests that – if Pakistan doesn’t become a lose Federation and its Armed Forces aren’t disbanded; then Pakistan’s existence is not possible for long.  He announces “Ya Pakistan ki fauj rahegi ya Pakistan”.

Worth watching the whole video and learning about things that most haven’t known.
