There are many incidents of reincarnations. Here is another possible one. This kid born in an illiterate family has been telling her parents that she is Kalpana Chawla and had died in the skies due to a crash. It was caused because a ball of ice hit her craft. She has told them the name of Kalpana’s father.
The parents of this girl were bewildered because they had never heard of Kalpana Chawla.
Now, when she visited her relatives this news came out.
Residents of Nar Mohammadpur village, about 35 km from here, where little Upasana is visiting her relatives, think she might be the reincarnation of the India born astronaut Kalpana Chawla, who died when US space shuttle Columbia crashed four years ago.
The news of the girl’s claim spread quickly in the area after she spoke to some villagers here.
"I am Kalpana Chawla," says Upasana, who reportedly fears the sight an aircraft. She has been telling her illiterate parents that she died in a "crash" up in the skies.
I think this raises some interesting thoughts on reincarnation and death. When one dies… WHAT dies? What "stays" on and what withers away? Body is obviously the one that withers away. Do thoughts/mind survive as a potential energy? What is Atma?
These are interesting questions that one needs to think about. I will share my thought in some later post.
