Neil Armstrong, Once in a Blue Moon Adventurer

Neil Armstrong, First man to set foot on Moon

At 20:17:39 UTC on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong, stepped on the Moon.  With his feet on the moon surface, he said –  “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.”  First human feet had touched the surface of moon.

Last Saturday, on August 25, 2012; he left the surface of Earth yet again.  This time for good.  The Eagle has taken off.  Forever.

And, today on August 31, 2012, Armstrong was laid to rest as he was buried in a private ceremony.

Such intrepid travellers come once in a Blue Moon.  Armstrong, however, went forever on a BLUE MOON.

Today, August 31 was a Blue Moon’s night.  It is the second Full moon in a month.  It won’t happen until July 2015 again.

It is in fitness of things that the first man on moon takes a bow from Earth, on a Blue Moon’s night.
