Taliban plans suicide attacks in NW Pakistan against music playing buses

There are people who find God and spiritual bliss from Music.  Some call the eternal “hum”.. the celestial music as THE only manifestation of the Universal Consciousness.

But then there are some who are willing to wear bombs around them and kill anyone who even listens to any music!  If you have to look at how religion makes people take their lunacy to a level where spiritual oneness – despite their constant chorus – is thrown out of the window can be witnessed in many strict Sharia based Islamic societies.

Taliban has threatened in Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan that suicide attacks will be launched in buses going in that area with music and/or videos being run.  Music and Movies, they say, is unIslamic.  They, and their supporters even among the moderate Muslims have the verses in the Hadiths (see at the end of the post) to blame or take support from.

Taliban Islamic regime is the same one which was responsible for destroying the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan… with a pride!

If some verses in millenia-old-God-knows-who-wrote scriptures are what create and perpetuate such completely insensitive and proudly inhuman people, then is it inappropriate to ask someone to please press a “delete” button and throw such nonsense out of the books?

Why isn’t it ever thought to be important to trim stuff from scriptures that are clearly nonsensical to ultimately at least create something that is reasonable!?

Isn’t it sad that world of today has to pay for someone who expressed his or her views centuries ago.. just because we appropriate “divinity” on that person!?  Why couldn’t the world learn to live on its own?  Just on its own intelligence instead being constantly dependent on some old baggage!
