Nice picture from Flickr on a topical subject. Things are indeed bad in our neighbouring country Burma. And worse, no one seems interested in helping out!

Here is a note from the photographer:

When I was in college we were required to watch a movie entitled, "Beyond Rangoon" - I thought I was going to be bored to death like I usually am for required materials.

I remember walking out of the movie house having found my first inspiration as an adult. Freedom for all. After many years later, Aung San Suu Kyi remains one of the most influential and inspirational people in my life.

For an entire week starting now, everything that I photograph will be dedicated to the people of Burma. I hope they know that they are not alone.

What a picture! I would have called it "When the robes collide"!

One chastity freak "goes down" on another one!! That makes you wonder if the nun is actually enjoying it or feeling angry about it? ;-)

This was captured as I collected my things from airport security (Detroit Metro Concourse A). I think of it as something like a Rorschach test. Is an elderly Catholic nun being frisked by a Muslim security agent the celebration of blind justice? Or is it simply an admission of absurdity?

After we landed in Orlando I talked the flight crew into rebooting the entire system so I could take this picture. The guy in the green shirt knew a little about linux but the rest of the flight crew thought I was nuts.

They could also reboot each seat individually. I suspect there was some sort of mini-itx system built in to for each console.

This has got to be the most hillarious of the pictures and news I read in a looong time. Seems like Microsoft is losing it in the heavens as well :-)
