Today another person went down to cancer – colon cancer. Tony Snow was the press secretary in Bush’s White House and was fighting cancer for last year or so. Today he died. He was also at Fox Channel.
Its not been very long since he was diagnosed with this instance of cancer and was working on the chemotherapy. The speed at which a person dies is amazing after cancer detection. I still remember a partner at my old consulting firm. He used to go to gym with a friend. One day he told my friend that he had some pain in his abdomen. He didnt think much of it. 3-4 months later he was dead because of cancer – don’t know where the cancer was in his body.
Most of the medical research seems to be concentrating at the wrong end! Its not about treating it but preventing it. We still do not know what causes it? The incidence of colon cancer is sometimes believed to be linked to eating meat… and I agree with that assessment. Diet choices have a lot to do with our ailments.. that is where enough work has not been done!
