May God Save the God Enslaved by Sexual Predators

On Monday, Bill O’Reilly, the Fox Anchor and the person who has done not one but several multi-million dollar sexual harrassment settlements lamented about how “God” is not protecting him enough.

“You know, am I mad at God? Yeah, I’m mad at him,” O’Reilly said on the latest episode of his web series, “No Spin News.” “I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn’t happen. I can’t explain it to you. Yeah, I’m mad at him.”

Bill O’Reilly has been known to take advantage of his power as a top Fox news anchor to sexually assault women and then keep them silent by paying them off.  Mostly multi-million dollars.  Earlier this year he did a USD 32 million settlement with a new legal analyst at Fox.  The allegations included – repeated harassment, a nonconsensual sexual relationship and the sending of gay pornography and other sexually explicit material to her.  The case was brought against O’Reilly after the lady contacted a sexual harassment attorney. The lady’s name is Lis Wiehl.

One needs to understand why this guy “God” is coming in O’Reilly’s defense of his sexual misconduct.  You see “God” and Bible and Church have been the bread and butter for them and their spin of every issue that ever came up.  If you watched Fox for a week, you couldn’t come off feeling that somehow they had gotten an exclusive franchise form “God” to peddle whatever theory they could spin.

The most hilarious of the spins that one heard was recently by Fox & Friends, host Ainsley Earhardt – according to whom the Las vegas killer shot so many because he didn’t have enough “God” in his life!  Whoever this dude, “God” is, he has been employed for everything.  He helps the sexual predators and if you dont have him enough in your life, he makes you kill.

It is this establishment where “God” was kept above everything and IN everything that sexual predators roamed unbridled.  Shockingly, Fox had renewed O’Reilly’s contract for $25 million after the $32 million settlement was done.  And, how do they justify that?  Oh, we didn’t know.  Someone paid $32 mn for sexual settlement and it was not important?!

The channel where “God” had a free run was being run by sexual predators!  Robert Ailes was the Chairman and CEO of Fox News and the Fox Television Stations Group until July 2016 before he had to resign due to the sexual harrassment.  To understand his inflluence – it is enough to know that he was the media consultant to Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush, and for Rudy Giuliani’s first mayoral campaign.  Finally, after leaving Fox, he was an advisor to Trump for his campaign.  He had been around the block for a long time as one can see.  He was brought in by Rupert Mumrdoch to lead Fox in 1996.

When you look at the Republican world and the right-wing of the American politics, then a few themes stand out:

• Focus on God, Bible and Church – and promote Evangelism
• Block all ways to allow abortion, even when needed and calling it ‘Pro-life”
• Backing for the Second Amendment and the Guns
• Denial of Climate Change being a result of human activity
• Denial of Evolution and affirmation in the “Genesis theory” of the world was made in 7 days
• Latent or Overt White Supremacism and Misogyny – by action and speech
• Rejection of Social security programs and welfare for poor

Do you see a preponderance of aggressive masculinity in there?  Is it any wonder that this bunch (1) insists on an ideology which precludes a feminine god and (2) want the male god to provide them their most regressive desires.

And, if God forbid, this god does not save these people when they rape or sexually harrass, then they are MAD at him.  Essentially, god is another form of slave for them.  So used they are to that privilege of using others as slaves.  God is an enslaved maid for them.

When we say that God is made in the image of man, we are finding a convenient excuse for justifying our crimes and give them a cloak of divinity by ascribing to God all the limitations of man.  This is a great way to reduce the burden of our own crimes.  First of all, man is a non-entity in the scheme of Cosmos.  Per the astronomers, we are living in a Multiverse, where our Universe is one of many.  In that Universe, our Galaxy – the Milky Way – is not even a speck.  In that Galaxy, our Solar System is not even a small blip.  In that Solar System, we live on a small planet, where humans are one of billions of species!  In such cosmic context, a God obsessed with man (not woman mind you) has to be a demented one at best!

In the world of today, it is using the political power and strength of unscrupulous laws (which are stacked against the women) that men have institutionalized misogyny.  Not only powerful people in every area harrass and, even rape, women, they also shut them up with money and legal provisions so they cannot ever open their mouth.  And then these people move onto another victim and rape her.  This rape-settlement-muzzling cycle continues as long as one can get millions via business or use of that power.

If one has to do all this, then one does need some justification on one’s side – and “God” is a great slave to use for this.  Heck, these folks have used him for everything they have wanted – genocide, killing, plunder, rapes – all over the globe!

But what do you do when the whole society is structured where feminine’s only aspiration is to be a man’s sidekick or a male wannabe?  Because that is what a woman has been reduced to now.  They get their bodies operated to get that perfect shape not just of their breasts but also trying to get designer vagina – not for their comfort but to be that perfect sex object for the men of this society.  For such women, their aspiration is nothing more than demeaning enslavement.  In this milieu is it any surprise that men rape with impunity and then settle via millions?

Forget God.  It is time to just be a normal human being, which apparently Americans have forgotten by now.  A God that permissive of the rapists should be out on his head from this Universe!
