Sexual exploitation with a clear agenda has been used as a tool of imperialism and conquest.  We had discussed how Love Jihad or Grooming is not just a real phenomenon, but is extremely rampant in Europe by Pakistani Muslim men and that is manifesting in India as well.  Unfortunately for the women involved, now China is using the same tactic against Pakistani women.

Chinese men are marrying Pakistani women and pushing them to prostitution. It is quickly becoming an industry with banners coming up. #CPECWeddings Click To Tweet

While checking out the news on Twitter, one came across a video of a Pakistani girl that sent shiver up one’s spine.  The girl was on the verge of being forcible taken out of Pakistan by a Chinese “husband” to be forced into prostitution.  And, she knew it.  She was making an appeal to anyone who would listen to her.  But given how rampant this whole racket has become between China and Pakistan, apparently no one ever listened to her or helped her.

Daily reports are coming out as to how the Chinese men are smuggling women out of Pakistan on the pretext of marriage to force them into prostitution.

Here is another case.

In India, NewsX carried the report and also had a detailed debate with representation from Pakistan who was clearly in a mode of denial.

Apparently, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) or CPEC, which was supposed to be the panacea for Pakistan and the greatest gift from China to the Pakistanis has become a way to exploit Pakistan now.  A report from Nikkei.com shows how Pakistani women are being used for prostitution and organ harvesting.

Chinese men, with the help of collaborators in Pakistan, have married young Pakistani women after making cash payments to their families and brought them to China. There also are unconfirmed claims that some women were forced into prostitution or used for organ harvesting.

The scheme, targeting vulnerable and disadvantaged Pakistani women, illustrates how some illegal operators on both sides of the border are taking advantage of the vast number of Chinese workers pouring into Pakistan for the $62 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, or CPEC, a flagship project in Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative. In fact, in the predominantly Christian communities, large wedding banners are appearing for marriage with Chinese men.

It is clear that there is a lot of money in this racket.  That is why the local vultures are cashing in on it.  And that should raise one’s suspicion.  Why would a Chinese man, whose own quality of living is not always that great – because living in Shanghai or Beijing or any other city is not cheap – go all the way to Pakistan to “buy a bride” only to push her into prostitution?  It clearly means that

  1. Prostitution and human trafficking is a major industry in China
  2. Some powerful political forces are behind this whole thing.  Because you cannot just do these things in China without their blessings.

That should make a lot of people sit up.  What is the intention of China with respect to Pakistan and Pakistanis?  A question that Pakistanis should ask – before the continue down this path of selling their women for some Chinese Yuan crumbs in future.
