J&K government advisory to pilgrims to curtail their stay and leave Valley ASAP!

The Amarnath Yatris are being asked to return back as soon as possible from their pilgrimage.  There are many concerns – of terrorism of course and also of things escalating.  Possibly something big is on the anvil.

On Friday, the Jammu and Kashmir government issued an advisory asking pilgrims and tourists participating in the Amarnath Yatra to take necessary measures to curtail their stay and make arrangements to return as soon as possible. (Source: DNA India)

There was a threat alert earlier, which seems to have been deleted by the ANI later.

The join press conference of paramilitary commanders confirmed this.

.”In the last three to four days, we got confirmed intel reports that terrorists are trying to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra. A thorough search was carried out on the routes by a combined team of Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police,” Chinar Corps Commander Lt General KJS Dhillon said in a joint press conference along with Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh, CRPF Additional Director General Zulfiqar Hasan, IGP Kashmir SP Pani and others.

The J&K Government has also come out with a security advisory via a tweet.

Another occurrence was the some of the top brass of the Army met the J&K Governor.  Like the wise Major suggested that it is not common for the Chief of Army, and the GOC-in-C Northern Command and GOC XV Corps to be meeting the Governor together.  This means there is something serious being planned.

With the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) bill being passed, the Government has got far more tools to handle anarchists and those who could side with these terrorists without any action against them.

With Pakistan on the mat and opposition (which has lately been acting like the ISI B-Team) virtually shut out, it is time to push for the jugular.
