July 15-16 this year saw a coup in Turkey ,where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government was being overthrown. As luck would have it for Erdogan, the coup did not succeed. At that time, one man – President-elect Trump’s National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn had applauded the coup.
But then things changed.
In an open on the website “The Hill”, Flynn wrote how the man who is rumored to have orchestrated the coup – Fethullah Gulen – should be extradited.
The primary bone of contention between the U.S. and Turkey is Fethullah Gülen, a shady Islamic mullah residing in Pennsylvania whom former President Clinton once called his “friend” in a well circulated video. Gülen portrays himself as a moderate, but he is in fact a radical Islamist.
Notice how he was earlier celebrating those attempting coup against Erdogan as “Secular” and Erdogan as the Islamist. Just a few months later, the entire definitions changed! Suddenly, those who had orchestrated the coup were radical Islamists and Erdogan a “key ally of US”.
“We must begin with understanding that Turkey is vital to U.S. interests. Turkey is really our strongest ally against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as well as a source of stability in the region.”
In fact, he goes on to call Gulen as “Turkey’s Osama Bin Laden”!
Interesting, huh?!
Well, on September 15, 2016 – just before Flynn’s Turkey related definitions changed – he became the lobbyist (lobbying registration form on Senate website) for a firm called Inovo BV. The paperwork is signed by Robert Kelley, who is the Chief Counsel of Flynn Intel Group.
The company Inovo is founded by Kamil Ekim Alptekin who is the chairman of the Turkish-American Business Council. He also lobbied for Erdogan’s 2016 visit to Washington.
Now, do you see the reason by sudden switching of definitions?
The hardliners on radical Islam are gung-ho about Flynn because he ‘says it like it is’ when it comes to Islam. But does he? If you have money and the connections, you can buy ANY tag from Flynn Intel Group you want. You may as well have Pope Francis called a radical Islamist for all you want!!
